When It All Started...

In 2006, a single moment changed everything. Dennis William Milstead was sitting in his office viewing the television when yet another missing child’s face appeared on the screen. He felt a deep sense of urgency and thought, “Enough is Enough—something has to be done.

At the time, Dennis now thee Founder of Kid Finders Network, Inc. He owned a sign store and mobile billboard company. He wondered whether those billboards could be used to help families searching for their missing loved ones. Would law enforcement use them? Would families want them? Instead of waiting for answers, he acted. Out of pure generosity, he contacted the family of the missing child he had just seen and offered them the use of one of his mobile billboards at no cost.

That single act became the beginning of Kid Finder’s Network. Inc.

What started as one person’s Generosity and determination to help has grown into a life‑changing organization that has served families across the country for more than 20 years. Kid Finder’s Network remains a 100% volunteer‑run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to locating missing people and supporting the families who are searching for them. Over the years, the organization has helped hundreds of families and featured thousands of missing individuals.
